Apprenticeship

These are four year programs that provide on-the job training in conjunction with related classroom instruction (day and evening available). Upon completion, apprentices will be certified by the U.S. Department of Labor as Journeyman. The program consists of a total of 8,000 work-related hours and 800 (650 for T&D) related instruction hours all of which are paid by local and federal grant funding.

Company Eligibility: STMA Member. Must follow wage scale.

Apprentice Eligibility: 18 years or older. High School Diploma or GED*. Full-time employee in related field. U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident Pass Aptitude Test.

  • Welding (TIG, ARC, Brazing)
